Operational scope, legal disclaimers, privacy policy, and zero-tolerance evidence policy.
The Corroding Web is an independent educational and open-source intelligence (OSINT) research initiative. We are not law enforcement, private investigators, or legal advisors. All materials, guides, and threat intelligence published on this site are for public awareness and educational purposes only. Nothing on this site constitutes legal advice.
If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, facing extortion, or needs to report an active crime, contact your local authorities or emergency services immediately. For a curated list of trusted helplines and reporting agencies, visit our Resources Page.
The Corroding Web maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and non-consensual intimate imagery. We do not accept, store, view, retain, or transmit any form of CSAM or non-consensual imagery. There is no civilian researcher or educational exemption under Canadian law. Possessing, accessing, downloading, or transmitting child exploitation material carries strict criminal liability.
Any unsolicited illicit transmissions received by The Corroding Web — including email attachments, tip submissions, or link submissions containing CSAM or non-consensual imagery — will be immediately reported to the RCMP, municipal police, and Cybertip.ca with full transmission headers and IP metadata preserved for law enforcement purposes.
We do not download, cache, archive, screenshot, or otherwise retain any illegal media. If illicit material is encountered during research or via unsolicited submissions, it is immediately reported to the appropriate authorities and purged from all systems. No copies are maintained.
This inbox and all contact channels must not be used for active emergencies or live crimes. If a child is in immediate danger, call 911 or submit a report directly to Cybertip.ca.
Indicators, threat databases, and flagged account data referenced throughout this site (including but not limited to Project Morris) represent external open-source intelligence (OSINT) indicators. These indicators do not represent formal legal criminal adjudications by The Corroding Web.
All threat data, account flags, and intelligence indicators are compiled via open-source methods and escalated directly to the appropriate legal authorities. The presence of an indicator in any database does not constitute a finding of guilt or criminal liability.
Anonymized IP addresses, browser headers, and edge request logs are captured via Cloudflare and our hosting infrastructure for security, DDoS mitigation, and operational integrity purposes. These logs are retained for a limited period as required for security monitoring and are not sold, shared, or used for advertising purposes.
Emails sent to help@thecorrodingweb.org are processed on a non-emergency basis and retained only as long as needed for research review, operational purposes, or statutory police handover. We do not operate a 24/7 monitoring desk.
The Corroding Web strictly reserves the right to provide email headers, correspondence, IP metadata, and any relevant transmission data to the RCMP, municipal police services, or Cybertip.ca when there are threats of active harm, suspected CSAM, or other criminal activity requiring statutory police intervention. This disclosure is made in accordance with Canadian law and does not require prior consent from the sender.
